An Icelandic Classic! Thingvellir National Park has a place in the hearts of the Icelandic people as it was the location where the parliament was established in the year 1000. In Thingvellir you can clearly see how the two tectonic plates, Eurasian and American plates are moving away from each other, creating crevasses and eventually wide valleys like Thingvellir. The Gullfoss waterfall in the river Hvítá is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, and close to it you will find the Geysir geothermal area with Strokkur hot spring which erupts every 5-7 minutes. These are places you must visit when in Iceland. It’s as simple as that! Also you will visit one other waterfall which are not frequently visited by tourists, the Faxi waterfall and the Kerið crater at the end of the tour.
Pick up and drop off at your hotel in Selfoss or Reykjavik. Photography assistance and guidance. Transport in a comfortable 4x4 truck. Clothing according to season and weather, good hiking boots and your camera and tripod.
