Winter photo workshop 5 days

Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Skógafoss waterfall are our first stops of the tour and Dyrhólaey peninsula, Black beach and Reynisdrangar before heading to our first over night stop at the beautiful village of Vík on the South coast. Great locations for sunsets and sunrises with the Reynisdrangar sea-stacks and Dyrhólaey peninsula.

The Northern-lights are a great addition to the experience on a tour like this. On a cold night with clear sky and weather permitting, we will find beautiful locations to catch a glimpse of the green-stuff, the Northern Lights. Unfortunately there is no guarantee of seeing the Northern Lights, even though we try our best.

On day two you will see towering sea cliffs, black sand beaches, glaciers and magnificent gully's cutting into the highlands below the glacier Mýrdalsjökull. We head on east towards Skaftafell and the Glacier Lagoon for our second and night.

Day three is dedicated to the Vatnajökull national park visiting the Glacier lagoon and other picturesque places in the area from morning to night, catching the sunset before heading back to our accommodation. Visiting an Ice-Cave is a great experience and can be added to the tour.

On our way back from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on day four we are stopping at a few locations like Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon, the Stjórnarfoss waterfall near Kirkjubæjarklaustur and the Fjaðrárgljúfur gorge, cutting through the edge of the highland. The Dyrhólaey peninsula and visiting two great waterfalls, The Skógafoss waterfall is one of the icons of the South coast, ending with Seljalandsfoss.

The last day is through the Golden circle which has many beautiful and unique locations to photograph. Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Thingvellir national park just to name a few. Tour ends in Reykjavik in the afternoon.

There is a selection of great restaurants with local food and various accommodation in the area. In five days you get to explore the whole area, visiting some of the most famous landmarks in Iceland plus some less known remote locations. The schedule is flexible and depending on weather, and some new locations may be added on the tour.

Pick up and drop off at your hotel in Selfoss or Reykjavik. Photography assistance and guidance. Transport in a comfortable 4x4 truck. Clothing according to season and weather, good hiking boots and your camera and tripod.
